Jeremy Goldstein partners with an exclusive law firm, known as the Jeremy L. Goldstein and Associates. The law firm is basically committed to giving advice to the management teams, compensation and business committees, and to the Chief Executive Officers. Their advice is usually based on executive compensation matters, and corporate governance among other sensitive issues.
At the American Bar Association Business Section, Mr. Goldstein serves as the chairman of a sub-committee dealing with acquisitions and mergers. In the past decade, he spent most of the time working with a good number of large corporate deals.
Jeremy Goldstein has been ranked among the leading attorneys, dealing with executive compensation in the USA. Mr. Jeremy holds a Juris Doctor (J.D) from the New York University and he also holds an M.A and a B.A from the University of Chicago and the Cornell University respectively.
According to him, his productivity arises from advising his clients about their own careers and their pay, as these are the major issues that are ever close to their hearts. He added that this kind of job requires a fully committed practitioner as the job entails giving advices, drafting and negotiations which are all time consuming. In an exclusive interview, Jeremy said that one of the habits that make him an effective lawyer is that he goes an extra mile to develop relationships with clients and work towards maintaining them. He said that he maintains communication with his clients even while not dealing with an active matter. He also recommended that one should be aggressive when it comes to buying new technology, while working towards your goals. He gave an example by saying that you shouldn’t wait for your computer to crush for you buy a new one.
Jeremy Goldstein’s advice to those aspiring to be like him was that they should know that things that appear to be like setbacks end up to become great opportunities. He added that most of the times he thought that something was one of the worst experience, finally everything turned out well.
Prior to Jeremy founding the Jeremy L. Goldstein and Associates law firm; he was in partnership with the New York law firm. He had also previously worked at Lipton, Rosen & Katz, Wachtell and Shearman & Sterling LLP. Mr. Goldstein played a great role in some significant corporate transactions an example being the acquisition of AT&T Corp.
